3A vs 4A all star game!

I was chosen to play in the all star game for basketball and it was a interesting one.. We got somewhat killed but it was fun to play with some of my rivals! There was 5 girls from region 11! Megan Hatt my freedom academy neighbor was chosen to play on the 1A team so I got to see her for a little but before she played. I stayed and watched until the second quarter then the family wanted to go eat. It was so good to see her! We met Carlie in Layton and ate at Boston's then went to Menchies, good as ever, then home!!

Basketball Season!!

This basketball season will definitely be one to remember. SENIOR YEAR!!!! now that it is over i guess i will talk about it well, lets just say starting off with some crazy things, like me shooting the ball from my knees, Bobi making a basket for Ogden, long days at Marsh Valley, Dwarfing blaze with Sarah (my soul sister), our cute little manager Yukari that was a sweet heart, Leisha supplying the bus with food and coach park schmeagling food. Our team also did something very cool also! Our awesome new freshman coach Keisha's brother was fighting cancer (just passed away this week) and we did a shoot-a-thon to raise money for his family. Each girl shot 200 foul shots, then we had sponsers, we ended up raising $1,998 and when we gave her the money (it was a suprise) it was so neat!!! So the season went very well! once again we had the opportunity to tie for 1st and be co champs, but we fell to morgan and ended up taking second in region.. which is good! we had our playoff game at home against Delta who had actually been ranked #1 half of the season, we hadn't even been ranked at all, we won at the buzzer when my awesome cousin Jordan Theurer made a lay-up! it was so exciting, we got to cut the net down. It was the first time in 9 years that Bear River Girls had made it to the actual state tournament. We went to St. George and had a good time, even though we got our butts kicked by snow canyon, who actually won state (YAY we got our butts kicked by the state champs! shout out to Olivia and Irfan) hahah well then we played juan diego and that wasn't to great either, we lost by 10 I think and that was the end of the basketball season for the 5 seniors! sad day and many memories made! we spend the rest of the weekend pretty much just chilling at the hotel and what not. On Saturday the team went the the girls championship game to watch kapri get her award for academic all-state, i would have gotten it if the college class wouldn't have counted as 2 A-'s, (DUMB) but after that game which was a close one but SC beat Desert Hills our team headed for home, but my family stayed an extra day so i watched the boys game to, and sat by my greatly missed friend Olivia Earl during another intense game, which desert hills also lost! It was so good to see her and irfan for the second i talked to him! after that kapri's family drove me to my family up on the cliffs thing and we sat around, then that night we went to TR and had some dinner. that night i put my legs in the hot tub and played my ukulele *relaxing* then it was off to bed and we were off in the morning! I rode home with tawnie after a nasty meal at dennys and we stopped at a maverick and they had white out mt. dew slurpees! best thing ever, i had to send stephanie a picture! well the rest of the ride i wasn't very social as i read the book unbroken, which i got from coach ras the first week of school and i still haven't finished it, slow reader OK! well that is pretty much it! a good end to basketball, sad to pack up by uniforms in my bag today:( now the banquet on Tuesday to celebrate the year.. oh yeah forgot to mention i was the winter sports poster child, nothing like an embarrassing up the nose jump shot to be shown all around town... YAY!!! oh well it was funny:)

Nauvoo! bits and pieces:)

The whole family.. plane ride, AWESOME.. we took up the greater part of the small plane.

Heading into the temple to do baptisms:)

Me and Titan

Ike, Carlie and the Thornes, his bishop for 6 months during his mission.

All of us in the Independence visitors center

This trip I realized a lot of things. First, it was a great trip and I want to go back many times in the future and I wouldn't mind being in the pageant in the summer! second, our fmaily on a small plane is quite exciting... and last of many, it is a small world! there were many people that knew people we knew and actually one of the elders was apparently my cousin:)! In Independence there was Sister Crystal who played basketball with Jessa Jeppesen at WWCC and was also a Bball coach at Juan Diego, there there was Sister Dodd who's dad apparently worked with my dad at some point, there was another sister who knew Kenna Kings Family in Spanish Fork, Found out the other day that one of the elders, Elder Caspers I think, is Abby's friend. When we were in Nauvoo some of the teamsters are really good friends with my relatives. There were quite a few people that knew the Tremonton area that were in the pageant also. so anyway, now the trip! it was really fun we did a lot. one of the highlights of the trip was going to see families that Ike knew from his mission. Bishop Thornes family was my favorite, i made a bet they would invite us to dinner.. who won, this girl! although we couldn't go because we were staying in Nauvoo which was kinda far away from Kearney. I had the opportunity to do baptisms in the temple, small world again, the guy who baptized my cousin Riley, he is Erik's principal at cedar high school, and he had watched me play softball! we went to the pageant which was really cool and we went around old Nauvoo and the shops on some street! it was an amazing trip and i really want to go back. being there made me want to be old enough to go on a mission. but according to the seminary teachers, i will be married by the end of my sophomore year of school at age 20, so i guess a mission will have to come later in life with my husband:)
